Dayton, Ohio
July 26-28, 2023
Two members participated in this year's national convention. Informational sessions included holistic turf management in shade and garden soil testing and soil health. An afternoon was spent at the Cox Arboretum with docents providing information on trees, plants, and structures. The history, growth, and the innovations at Krohn Conservatory were shared by its director, and the OSU/ATI coordinator of landscape horticulture and horticultural science spoke on "Gardens: Great and Small" sharing photos of her yard and advising gardeners to enjoy their gardens and quit looking at the weeds--they'll take care of themselves! Every convention is an opportunity to learn, enjoy old and new friends, and visit garden sites.
Photography Competition
An annual photo contest is held to select Best of Show, First and Second Runners-Up awards, and a Sweepstakes Award which is determined from the total score of up to 20 photos entered into the contest. The winners for 2021 are displayed below. Having not had a convention in 2021, awards were made at the 2022 convention.
